I like to paint small paintings while working on big ones. I like the way the paintings usually come to me spontaneously and intuitively. I learn things about myself. Sometimes, I have an undefinable emotion floating around, and painting brings form to it. Of course, my larger paintings do the same thing, but it’s a slower process. The little ones let me express worries, delights and poetic ideas.

These will all be on display at a group art show, Shards of Color and Other Broken Things, art about color and life, at 430 N Cleveland on Friday and Saturday, March 13 and 14th from 5-8.
Frankd Robinson, Darlene Newman, M., and TheOuterCircle will be showing also.

If you’re in Memphis, I hope to see you there. Contact me if you have any questions.
