I finished this 8×10″ acrylic painting today, inspired by the hibiscus I’m growing on my porch garden. It’s on stretched canvas and the sides are painted a dark green.

I’ve tried to capture the brilliance of this bloom that lasts only a day. I’ve used layers and layers of reds and greens and yellows. The background is smooth and the flower itself more textured.
This painting is for sale through Etsy here. It’s $50, including shipping and handling. There are also prints, card, t-shirts, skins and other items available through RedBubble here.
I’m in the process of documenting and posting more of my art. Stay tuned for that.

Lovely art 🙂 Lately I’ve been too depressed to be inspired to make my own art much, but seeing others’ creativity still helps.
