I determined this month to start a visual journal again, but I didn’t want to attach any subject to it. I intend to get better at drawing people and flowers, and at capturing bits of everyday life. But I also want to start without intentions, just go where my imagination leads.
Today I was recycling a wet wipe dispenser and became fascinated with the shape of the top.
I decided that it looked like some weird little figure, so I decided to draw it. I got lost in my head and when I came back to my senses, I had this:

That’s the fun of visual journaling — you never know where it’ll lead — or who it will allow you to blame for your bad habits 🙂
