Geezer Gallery
This is a wonderful gallery here in Portland and the vision of Amy Henderson who is a strong advocate for getting art into everyone’s life. The Gallery itself is light filled and spacious with an extraordinary range of work, from folk to installation. Also Rachel’s blog is a great way to find the back story of the artists and the new exhibits.
Doll Family
I made this doll family about 10 years ago. It’s a grandmother, daughter and two grandchildren. I think it captured a wonderful moment in their lives. I like how the mother’s face is so pensive and the grandmother’s is more distant. The children are wistfully gazing into a future that none of them can imagine

The family has had a lot of hardships since I made this for them, and when I got the picture it was a poignant reminder to cherish the moments when we are happy and let our loved ones know they are loved.
Susan Leslie Lumsden – Rebel Quilter
I had the honor of being in a show curated by Susan Leslie Lumsden called Roots of Racism. Her work is vivid and bold and continues to amaze me.
