Online Interview for Opulent Mobility

The online interview I did with the Curator for the Opulent Mobility Art Show is now live. Here is the link:

I wore my very opulent gold jacket for the interview. I hope you enjoy it. And please subscribe to the Opulent Mobility YouTube page and listen to all the interviews. Lots of wonderful insights on art and disability!

  1. A wonderful interview, Joy. You’re addressing such an important topic with beautiful insight and unapologetic (as is apt!) directness. The pieces chosen are perfect. Kudos! And you’re looking mighty splendid in your opulence 🙂

  2. Thank you so much. I figured it best to be direct since they featured the nude. Being part of the show has helped me get out of a kind of block that’s been plaguing me and I’m glad to get good feedback.

  3. It’s a pleasure to hear your voice Joy. Thanks. I enjoyed listening in on your conversation about art! It’s beautiful and it’s brave and it matters.

    1. Thank you, Pat. I was dreadfully nervous but once it started, I think it went smoothly and expressed why I felt compelled to do these paintings. I think when I’m feeling insecure now, I’ll just remember you saying “It’s beautiful and it’s brave and it matters.”
